Why a
New Church?
First, the obvious. Northeast Richland County is
one of the fastest-growing areas of South Carolina,
with more growth coming. And the number of churches
in the area hasn't kept up with the growth of the
population.
But there's more to this than demographics. We
believe God is calling us to start a new church
whose core purpose is to help people seeking faith,
hope and meaning to find their heart's deepest
desires in Jesus Christ. Especially people who
know little or nothing about the Christian faith, or
who grew up in the church and left. We
are a
church that helps people connect or re-connect to
the living God. Accordingly, we
are warm,
inviting and open to those not yet part of our
church family; a safe, non-judgmental place for you
to explore faith and grow.
We also believe God calls us to share the love of
Jesus with children. Many parents want to
find a church that will help
teach their children faith and values, and
help them become people of good character who are
equipped to resist the foulness infecting our
culture.
So
we have on staff Michelle Jowers, our children's
minister who leads a number of excellent ministries
for children and youth.
